Prof. Isa Ali Ibrahim Pantami Leads Friday Prayers at Seven Sisters Masjid

The Ghana Muslim Welfare Centre (GMWC) and the Seven Sisters Masjid were honoured to host Professor Isa Ali Ibrahim Pantami, former Minister of Communications and Digital Economy of Nigeria, as the guest Imam for the Jumu’ah (Friday) prayers held at the Seven Sisters Masjid in London.

During his inspiring khutbah (sermon) titled “Our Relationship with the Qur’an”, Prof. Pantami reminded the congregation of the central role the Qur’an plays in guiding every aspect of a Muslim’s life. He urged believers to go beyond recitation by striving to understand, reflect upon, and live according to the teachings of the Holy Qur’an.

He emphasised that the Qur’an is not just a book to be recited in Ramadan or in times of need, but a constant companion that should shape our actions, values, and relationships with others. He further encouraged parents to nurture in their children a deep love for the Qur’an and to make it the foundation of their homes.

The Jumu’ah prayer was well attended by community members, scholars, and youth from across London, who expressed deep appreciation for Prof. Pantami’s presence and message.

The Ghana Muslim Welfare Centre extends its gratitude to everyone who attended and to Prof. Pantami for his words of wisdom and leadership.
